Stages of learning

• Step 1: A 2-hour introductory lesson for HUF 5.990. If you have already decided that you want to learn how to play golf and want to sign up for the 10-hour educational course you can omit this step.
• Step 2: 10-hour educational course for beginners for HUF 69.900.
• Step 3: 10+1-hour advanced educational course for HUF 79.900.
• Step 4: Beginners’ PAR3 club membership for a whole year, golf clubs provided free of charge.
• Step 5: Membership for the „big” 9-hole golf course.

It may sound absurd but golf is less expensive than a high-class fitness club! It is widely believed that golf is an excessively expensive passtime for a small exclusive club of millionairs. This is not true! Millions of people all over the world are aware of the opportunities golf offers. Primarily, it is a sport but also serves for making friends, meeting business partners, getting to know interesting people as well as relaxing and enjoying the amenities of the club. Nice people in a nice environment!

Who play golf? The youngest member of the Highland Golf Club is 6 years old (young) and the eldest is 83. Our members are from many walks of life: university students, businessmen, office workers and senior citizens. No matter what they do for a living love of golf and social ties create a community we are all proud of.

Ever played golf? Golf is not just a game but also a social event where you can make new acquaitances and friends in a nice environment.

Step 1: A 2-hour introductory golf lesson

If you have never played golf before and you would like to try it, the 2-hour introductory golf lesson is the best offer. This program takes place in an easy-going pleasant atmosphere and gives a chance to see and try basic shots. Going through the course and participating in a little tourney are also parts of the program. Any sport apparel and flat-sole shoes will do.

Participation fee is HUF 5.990 to be paid on site. Price includes all costs (instructor, clubs, balls, use of the course). Introductory golf lessons are held on a regular basis on Wednesdays and Saturdays: Introductory golf lessons.

Step 2: 10-hour course for beginners

Would you really like to learn how to play golf? This educational course is meant for you. In the whole golf season (from March to October) you can continuously sign up for small group (up to 3-4 persons) 10-hour lessons. Here you can learn the basic shots and rules.

Price of the program HUF 69.900, includes the following:

• 10 hour education (4×2 hours practice, 2 hours theory, concludes with a test)
• 10 baskets of practice balls (1 basket: 48 balls)
• Unlimited use of the PAR3 course and practice areas for 1 month.
• Use of a three-piece beginners’golf-club set free of charge
• Upon completion of the 10-hour course for beginners you can get a „Course permit” to play on Hungarian golf courses (For participation in competitions and/or playing on golf courses abroad you need to pass a test for getting an EGA card.)

Extra practice will help you consolidate what you have learned in the lessons and improve your skills.

Step 3: 10+1-hour advanced course

If you want to improve your game, then our small group (3 players) golf lessons are just for you. The ultimate goal of this education is to earn an EGA card.

Price of the program HUF 79.900 and includes the following:

• 10 hours training
• +1 hour examination: „Rules and Regulations of the Hungarian Golf Association”
• 10 baskets of practice balls (1 basket: 48 balls)
• Unlimited use of the PAR3 course and practice areas for 1 month.
• Use of golf clubs free of charge

If you want to further improve your golf, our golf trainers are ready to give you individual lessons. The golf instructors listed on the Budapest Highland Golf Club official web page set their instruction fees and their terms of service on their own, and settle all transactions directly with their customers. Step 4: Beginners’ PAR3 club membership

We have a special 3-hole golf course called „PAR3” designed for beginners. The course gives a full golf experience, beginners can cover it in about half an hour. Buying „PAR3 club membership” entitles the holder to use the PAR3 course and all the practice areas.

In the first year this is usually enough for beginners: completing the 10-hour course, buying the PAR3 membership and practicing a lot.

Step 5: Membership for the 9-hole „big” golf course

With a successful test under your belt you are ready to buy the long awaited membership for the 9-hole golf course. Your membership card entitles you to use all facilities of the Highland Golf Club throughout the whole season. You can enter competitions where you can win prizes offered by distinguished sponsors. Also you can make new friends and get to know business partners at parties and other events organized by the club.

Junior education: children can take up golf from the tender age of 6.

Over weekends lessons for groups of various skill-level are conducted by our expert PGA instructors Zsolt Tóbiás and Laura Scridon.
